Space Instruments is one of the foremost designers and manufacturers of infrared and visible imaging systems for airborne and spaceborne applications. Our uniquely lightweight and cost-effective sensors represent a breakthrough in infrared systems, providing multispectral imagery of wildfires, oil spills, vegetation and general terrain, as well as precision measurements for astronomy, global warming, and other remote sensing and scientific applications.

Unlike most sensors, Space Instruments thermal infrared sensors utilize cutting edge microbolometer detectors which require no heavy cooling apparatus and can operate anywhere at ambient temperature. Our multispectral radiometers feature proprietary calibration systems which produce detailed temperature maps of forest fires that can generate temperatures as high as 1200° C.
